Commander, Navy Installations Maintenance Manager in Fallon, Nevada
This position is located at the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites operation at NAS Fallon. The incumbent will manage daily maintenance operations of a 1887 bed, 30 building lodging program. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsible for developing, organizing, coordinating, executing and supervising a comprehensive mantenance repair, and renovation program at the site level. Provides input for short and long range planning.
The incumbent trains, instructs, and supervises personnel assigned to Maintenance both in a formal training setting and on-the job training.
Plans and schedules ongoing production oriented work for all maintenance personnel on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis adjusting staff levels as required to meet workload demands.
Participates in approving and/or recommending leave, ensuring that schedules are set to ensure all program requirements are met. Advisies and coaches subordinates on performance, and develops improvement plans as required. Evaluates performance, recommends awards and/or corrective/disciplinary actions. Interviews and recommends applicants for selection or promotion.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
Requires three years of documented work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic principals, concepts, standards, regulations and the administration related to maintenance operations.
Three to five years of supervisory experience is required.
Required to complete preparation, justification, execution and monitoring of the annual non-appropriated and appropriated fund budgets for maintenance operations and associated project development. Must be able to read and evaluate blueprints for renovation projects.
Must understand the daily operation of a hotel to include safety, enviromental and fire prevention regulations and practices; hotel management procedures; maintenance operation principles and practices.
Incumbents must be able to use and/ or operate basic computer softwar.
