Cook I (Part-time)
Cooks, grills, and presents food to be served to hospital patrons.
Follows basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, carving, and serving soups, meat, fruit, vegetables, and desserts.
Operates a variety of kitchen equipment in order to prepare food for consumption.
Prepare bakery items, receive inventory, move and lift foodstuffs, supplies, and prepare meals for customers requiring special diets.
Cleans and maintains work stations and equipment.
Knowledge and Skills:
Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment and food preparation.
Excellent attendance record required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to speak, read and write fluent English.
Requires the ability to carry or lift supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
Must be able to work preparing food orders in a fast paced environment.
Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, holidays, day and evening shifts.
Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check
