Customer Service/Call Center

We have an excellent career opportunity as a Customer Service Rep in our Reno, NV National Call Center. The positions are full time, Monday to Friday. The shift available is 6am to 2:30pm.

Responsibilities: Call Center reps take inbound calls from Anixter’s internal salespeople. Responsibilities include but are not limited to customer order modifications, tracing and tracking orders, carrier inquiries, and resolving customer complaints. Calls are logged live into a database where information is communicated between distribution centers and sales force. Call Center reps work closely with other Anixter departments to support customer needs.


  • 1 years experience in a professional environment or successful completion of 1 year of college level courses

  • Experience working with many different computer based applications(aptitude to learn different applications), including typing and 10-key

  • Process oriented, specifically ability to think linearly through process to develop effective solutions

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

  • Ability to multitask, specifically the ability to manage multiple competing priorities

  • Ability to work with multiple different personalities; ability to build relationships quickly via telephone and email

  • Self-directed, but able to work effectively as part of a team

-Comfortable being measured through performance metrics

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Quick learner, thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • Understanding of warehousing or distribution processes is a plus
