Position Purpose:
Under the direction of department leadership, Incumbent is responsible for the following:
· Implementing, documenting, updating, communicating the updates of Revenue Cycle/ Epic Master Files to Renown Health revenue producing departments.
· This includes analysis, design, testing and implementation of new functionality or upgraded functionality with the current Epic Master File system.
· Position is responsible for maintaining departmental standards of excellence as established by Renown Standards of Conduct.
Nature and Scope:
Under the direction of department leadership, incumbent will be responsible to:
a. Interview and assist revenue producing departments which utilize the Epic Electronic Medical record to document current charge practices;
b. Assists clinical end users of Epic EMR to trouble shoot Epic Charge Capture problems
c. Assists with analysis of business/clinical/payer/government requirements for compliant patient billing
d. Provides training based on findings/issues/action plans as directed for the revenue producing departments.
e. Responsible for determining the design and data requirements to submit to report writers
f. Responsible for keeping Epic Revenue Cycle Master files (EAP, FSC, etc), charge navigator screens up to date and compliant for billing purposes
g. Supports projects for monitoring and auditing charge capture, charge reconciliation and chart audit projects
h. Supports and ensures internal and external information is disseminated to clinical areas with regards to charge capture.
i. Supports and recommends to revenue producing areas processes which assist the areas to achieve the Late Charge Accountabilities.
j. Coordinates yearly price updates.
Incumbent must do the above while Demonstrating excellent customer service, displaying strong people/interpersonal skills. With provided direction, have the ability to work on multiple projects. Possess excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience:
Eight (8) years in hospital finance and/or in patient financial services with knowledge of charge description master and/or charge capture processes and/orEpic EAP build or similar module experience is required.
CPT, ICD-9-CM, HCPCS, medical terminology and billing experience preferred.
License(s):

Certification(s):
Epic CDM Certification preferred.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
